Will the internet kill phone companies? Can you realistically use your mobile phone for internet calls as you walk down the street? Is “war driving” acceptable? Will 3G internet ever become affordable – or usable in heavy applications? Are there realistic ways of reducing the cost of the last mile? Are mobiles on aeroplanes a good thing – or will you assault the first person whose phone rings just as you are dropping off? If land companies go out of business, will communities find themselves totally off the grid?
